At least 4 years of experience on Layer 2 Carrier Ethernet technologies.

Technical Skills

1. Expert understanding of Ethernet technology, 100BaseT, Gigabit Ethernet,  LAN & WAN

2. Advanced Layer2 experience/knowledge in VLANs, QinQ, 802.1p, 802.1ag, Y.1731, E-LMI, 802.3ah.

3. Development Experience in STP, RSTP, MSTP, Link Aggregation (LACP)

4. Strong Metro and Carrier Ethernet knowledge including QoS, CoS, OAM, CIR, EVC, EPL, EVPL, E-Line, E-LAN, E-Tree, Etc.

5. Strong C Programming Skills, Strong in data structures and algorithms

6. Has previously on Highly Scalable Chassis based Systems and development experience on Linux as the Platform OS.

7. Thorough understanding of MPLS, L2 VPNs and VPLS, PWEs

8. Experience in design and implementation of high end Layer2 & Layer3 Switches

9. Good Understanding of link level redundancy mechanisms such as LAG, APS

10Design and development experience in distributed systems and high availability is a bonus point.

Possibility of short term assignments in California USA depending upon performance.
