VBA for excel and JavaScript -  Senior Application Consultant

Job Profile
• Understanding requirements from Solution Architects/Business Analysts
• Designing solutions for customers
o Detailed design of solution components in line with overall solution architecture
• Building of a solution around the software product which will involve
o Scripting using VBA for excel and JavaScript based on design specifications
o Building / configuring the solution front end / back end as per design specifications
o Building complex business logic using above mentioned technologies and Vistaar platform
• Solution environment management
o Product installation, configuration and upgrades
o Promotion of solution artefacts from one environment to another
o Shell scripting / Perl scripting for process automation
• Solution validation
o Unit testing of solution components
o System testing
• User training
o Creation of user training material
o Walking the user through the solution
• Technically guide and mentor a small team of Application Consultants
• Customer support for a live implementation
• Resolving solution issues raised by the customer
• Interfacing with product development team to get product issues addressed
• Answering solution related queries from the customer

Technical Skills
Essential
• Unix/Linux, Windows operating environments
• Oracle exposure
• Core development experience in any one or more of the following
o Visual Basic and Visual Basic for Applications (Excel)
o Java Scripting
o Java
o C++
o C#, Dot Net

Desirable
• Experience in requirements gathering and customer facing activities
• Experience in Enterprise Applications (ERP, SCM, BI)
• Building of ETL bridges, PL-SQL procedures for data movement/transformation

Educational Qualification : Engineering Graduates from a reputed university. Management qualification desirable
Experience : 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
